Art

We invite local artists of Mexican Folklore (from all art fields) to showcase their talents. As the Mexican Civic Society, our commitment is to educate visitors about Mexican art in Illinois. At the same time, our artists have the opportunity to engage and promote themselves directly to the community. Art and culture are present in all the events we hold; help us host an art fair, a craft fair, featuring Mexican and pre-Columbian art

Health Matters

Mexican Civic Society of Illinois recognizes the problem of chronic diseases such as diabetes and obesity, largely due to an environment of poor health habits in our diet. To address these issues, we request volunteers from the Health Center to join us, together with MCS, and serve at our events. We aim to promote a healthy lifestyle, good eating and exercise habits, stress reduction, and healthy cooking. This includes the prevention of diabetes and hypertension, as well as weight control.

Schools

We invite schools to our events to represent our culture, unifying and bringing together parents and other visitors..Schools can also provide information about unique programs offered in Illinois in an effort to increase parent participation, boost student recruitment, and provide information that will impact the future of students in the Illinois community. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak with school representatives and receive free information.

Immigration

This is a committee requested by volunteers and focused on immigration resources to provide Pro-Bono consultations with immigration lawyers, where participants have the opportunity to meet with the lawyer and ask them any related questions.

Public Relations

Join our team of photographers, graphic artists, social media enthusiasts, writers, and expert communicators to help promote activities related to the Mexican Civic Society of Illinois. Together, we can empower Mexicans and Mexican-Americans to showcase Mexican events held throughout the year.
